By using this website, submitting a form on it, or booking a service with us, you agree to the terms set out on this page. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

Where we work

Advanced Appliance Repair provides in-home appliance repair in Durango, Bayfield, Ignacio and the wider La Plata County area of Colorado. If you are outside that area, please contact the office before booking so we can tell you honestly whether we can help.

Repair or Replace Calculator

The Repair or Replace Calculator produces estimates only. It is not a quote, and it is not a diagnosis.

Every figure it shows is built from two things and nothing else: typical industry figures for the appliance type you selected, and the specific details you entered on the form.

We cannot guarantee the accuracy or reliability of those figures. What a repair or a replacement actually costs depends on factors the calculator cannot see. Some of those factors make a job easier and cheaper. Others make it harder and more expensive. They include the real condition of the appliance, repairs it has had before, related parts that may be close to failing, how the appliance is installed, and what fitting a replacement would genuinely involve in your home.

Most importantly, no technician has inspected your appliance. A calculator works from a description. A technician works from the machine itself, and will see things a description cannot show.

Figures are subject to change without notice as appliance details change, as parts availability changes, and as prices change.

Use the calculator to inform your thinking and to plan ahead. Please do not treat what it produces as a commitment from Advanced Appliance Repair, and please do not rely on it in place of a professional diagnosis.

Booking, diagnosis and payment

Our booking, diagnostic fee and cancellation terms are set out on our pre-payment disclosure page. Those terms apply to every appointment and are not repeated here, so that there is only ever one version of them.

Using this website

You are welcome to read, print and share anything on this site for your own use. Please do not copy it for commercial purposes, collect data from it automatically, submit false information through our forms, or attempt to interfere with how the site runs.

The text, images and tools on this site belong to Advanced Appliance Repair unless stated otherwise.

Limitation of liability

We carry out repairs with reasonable skill and care, and we stand behind the work our technicians do.

There are limits to what we can be responsible for, and we would rather state them plainly than leave them unsaid.

We are not responsible for faults that already existed in an appliance before we attended, for failures in parts or systems we were not asked to work on, or for problems caused by how an appliance was installed by someone else.

Parts we fit are covered by the manufacturer warranty that comes with them. We pass that cover on to you in full, and we do not extend it beyond what the manufacturer provides.

We are not responsible for indirect losses that follow from an appliance fault or from a delay in repairing one. That includes spoiled food, damage from water or ice, lost time, and the cost of alternative arrangements while an appliance is out of use.

Where we are responsible for something, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the work in question.

Nothing on this page limits any right you have under Colorado law that cannot be limited by agreement.

If something goes wrong

Please call the office first. Most problems are quickest to fix by talking to us directly, and we would always rather put something right than have you unhappy with the work.

If we cannot resolve it between us, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and any dispute will be handled in the courts of La Plata County, Colorado.

Nothing here prevents either of us from using small claims court where a matter is eligible for it.

Changes to these terms

We may update this page from time to time as our services change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
